Positions available (no experience required; just a passion to learn and interact with people)
Barista & Greeter
As a barista you will be responsible for making & serving a variety of specialty drinks (hot & cold americano's, cappacinno's, espresso's, latte's, milkshakes, smoothies); baking & serving muffins, cakes, pies, chocolates & cookies; serving ice cream and making real fruit sorbets, food preparation, making and serving breakfast sandwiches, waffles, grilled sandwiches, wraps and more.
Continued cleaning of the kitchen and store front area which includes washing dishes, constant cleaning of services, espresso machine, etc.
Keeping track of inventory (coffee, creamer, milk, sugar, ice cream, baking ingredients, etc.)
Greeting visitors as they enter the bistro. Answering visitor inquiries. Sharing the history of the Sandon and area and informing visitors of things to see and do in Sandon.
Gift Shop Clerk & Greeter
As a gift shop clerk you are responsible for interacting with visitors, sharing items for sale, maintaining display cases and refilling items when other items are sold as well as pricing. Researching items online to determine worth and information.
Greeting visitors as they enter the store. Answering visitor inquiries. Sharing the history of the Sandon and area and informing visitors of things to see and do in Sandon.
General Greeter
Greeting visitors as they arrive in Sandon, with a warm and welcoming smile, providing them a brochure of things to see and do in Sandon, handing out FREE scavenger hunts to the young ones, answering visitor inquiries and ensuring the grounds are clean of garbage, dog poo, etc and directly campers on where to set up and sharing the history of Sandon.
Hydroelectric Generating Station Tour Guide
Greeting visitors as they enter the station. Answering visitor inquiries. Sharing the layout and how the generating station works; as well as the history of the Sandon and area and informing visitors of things to see and do in Sandon.
You will sell merchandise in the station taking payments (cash or credit card) and informing management when inventory needs to be replenished.
You will complete the daily log book.
During quiet times you will be responsible for the general cleaning of the station (vacuuming, dusting, etc) and opportunity to learn how to use basic tools for projects.
